Tuberose; the forbidden flower. The feelings engendered by its pale, ballerina-pink tipped flowers have earned it the reputation of a botanical succubus, and a rhapsodic love charm in matters of sorcery. Native to and cultivated in Mexico long before it spread across the world by way of trade routes, the tuberose’s aroma is mesmeric, fabled to arouse wanton appetites through a single breath.

Creamy swaths of muslin gauze, soaked in warm milk; tuberose is a heady white floral that whispers its spell onto the night air. This is our ode to a flower whose perfume is paradoxically described as youthful, beguiling, and innocent, while reputed to intoxicate the mind and provoke corruption. A promise of deliverance; an unbridled temptress—titles bestowed like crowns upon the queen of the night.

Notes of: flushed cheeks and baited breath; tuberose at the twilight hour, hot and heavy on summernight’s air; rosewood, creamy benzoin, sandalwood and grapefruit zest. A swooning, lactonic white floral fragrance.

The Ritual: Scoop the desired amount of your scented balm of choice and gently warm it between your fingers before applying it to pulse points (wrists, the crook of the elbow, the nape of the neck, the décolleté) or wherever else you please in gentle, circular motions, allowing the perfume to air-dry. 

Solid perfumes perform best when in contact with heat and do wonderfully on warm summer days, or when applied under the collar of a shirt when the temperature drops.
